On April 8, 2023, on Lazarus Saturday, the vicar of the Rostov Diocese, Bishop Artemiy of Taganrog, led the Divine Liturgy in the Starocherkassk Army Cathedral of Christ’s Resurrection.

His Grace was co-served by the dean of the Aksai district, priest Alexey Shilov, the senior priest of the cathedral Valery Voloshchuk, the head of the Diocesan Department for Work with the Cossacks, archpriest Georgy Smorkalov and the clergy of the diocese.

At a special litany, a prayer was offered for Holy Russia.

The hymns of the service were performed by the cathedral choir under the direction of Ashot Palanjyan. The sermon before Communion was delivered by Priest John Tsupko.

At the end of the divine service, His Grace addressed the worshippers with an archpastoral word.
