On March 30, with the blessing of the senior priest of the cathedral, archpriest Valery Voloshchuk, having joined the All-Russian clean-up day, parishioners, administration representatives and residents of the village of Starocherkasskaya cleaned up the area around the Army Cathedral of Christ’s Resurrection.

Our flower beds adequately emphasize the grandeur of the ancient temple and the historical and architectural style of the Cossack village. In the area around the cathedral there is a collection of steppe vegetation of the Don region: different types of thyme, wormwood, oregano, rue, broom, St. John’s wort, tansy, onions, cereals and others.

The uniqueness of the steppe flora in the territory adjacent to the cathedral is carefully maintained under the leadership of the parish gardener and international florist Valeria Bukina.

For the new flowering season, we removed the dead wood after the winter, did the pruning, and took out the garbage.
