An excursion for the teaching staff of the Faculty of Law of the Southern Federal University and their family members took place in the Starocherkassk Army Cathedral of Christ’s Resurrection.

The cleric of our parish, head of the department of the Faculty of Law of the Southern Federal University, scientific provost of the Don Theological Seminary, priest Alexy Ovchinnikov, introduced the guests to the main architectural landmark of Starocherkasskaya.

As a part of the excursion, representatives of the scientific community were presented with historical and cultural information about the construction and development of the Army Cathedral of Christ’s Resurrection. Father Alexy also spoke about the history of the Church and the peculiarities of liturgical activities. Visitors were impressed by the special view of the village and its surroundings, which opens from the bell tower of the cathedral. At the end of the excursion, a thanksgiving prayer was performed with a request for every good deed.
