The Starocherkassk Army Cathedral of Christ’s Resurrection was visited by Protopriest Svyatoslav Churkanov, Assistant to the Chief Chaplain in the Special Military Operation zone working with the National Guard, and Protodeacon Mikhail Mikhailov. On the feast day of the Nativity of the Holy Prophet, Forerunner, and Baptist John, the military chaplains concelebrated the Divine Liturgy with the cathedral’s rector, Archpriest Valery Voloshchuk, head of the Diocesan Department for Cooperation with the Armed Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies.

Following the service, Father Valery introduced the guests to the history of the first stone church in the Don region and its sacred relics.
