On May 20, 2023, with the blessing of Metropolitan Mercury of Rostov and Novocherkassk, the senior priest of the Starocherkassk Army Cathedral of Christ’s Resurrection, archpriest Valery Voloshchuk, conducted a tour of the temple for participants of the Jubilee All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference “Topical issues of Transplantology”, which was held on May 19, 2023 on the basis of the Regional Clinical Hospital.

During the tour, the guests learned about the history of the Army Cathedral of Christ’s Resurrection, about the Don Cossacks, as well as about the interiors and interior decoration of the cathedral. Father Valery showed the bell tower, told about the need to restore the cathedral and the actions taken by the parish in this direction.

Many of the forum participants visited the cathedral for the first time and expressed their enthusiastic impressions of the Don shrine.
