The coming year is an anniversary for the Resurrection Cathedral. In September, we will celebrate the 300th anniversary of the first stone church on the Don. In order to discuss preparations for celebrations, outline an action plan and resume work of the past year, a parish meeting was held on the 6th of January after the liturgy in the refectory.

The senior priest of the cathedral Valery Voloschuk told the active members of the congregation what work had been done over the past year, thanked them for their work and shared his thoughts on how to best prepare for this significant date. Without going into details of the meeting, we can say that the participants made a number of important decisions that will help to recreate the historical appearance of the cathedral step by step and re-form a living and active community.
