On September 2, 2018, a solemn divine service in honor of the celebration of the Day of the Don Icon of the Most Holy Theotokos was held in the Holy Don Efremov Monastery. Representatives of the Rostov Spiritual and Patriotic Center of St. George the Victorious as part of a group of Cossacks of the Don Army and parishioners of the St. George the Victorious parish took part in a festive prayer service.

The dean of parishes of the Azov urban district, archpriest Alexander Miroshnichenko, the dean of the parishes of the Aksai district, archpriest Andrei Mekushkin, the dean of parishes of the Taganrog district, archpriest Alexy Lysikov, the head of the department for relations of the Church and society of the Rostov-on-Don diocese, archpriest Valeriy Voloschuk, the dean of parishes of Azov district, archpriest Alexander Yakimov, dean of the parishes of the North-West District of the city of Rostov-on-Don archpriest Konstantin Makarenko, senior priest of the Transfiguration (Ratnensky) church of Starocherkasskaya, Igor Milyaev, the clergy of the Rostov-on-Don diocese and the monastery brethren took part in the divine service.

After the end of the Liturgy, a charity fair was held on the territory of the Army Cathedral. Our florists, sisters and parishioners baked pancakes, eclairs, pies, cooked traditional don fish soup! We thank everyone who took part in this fair!!!
